Fort Abraham Lincoln
Located south of Bismarck at the mouth of Heart River. In operation to protect the railroad construction and contain the Sioux from 1872 to 1891. It was considered one of the largest and most important of the area.
This is one in a short series of geocaches south of Tioga. Quick grabs but named to highlight the history of Forts in North Dakota. Have tweezers to attempt these caches. Replace as found. If you ever have a problem with one of my caches, please reach out to me!
