Fort Union Trading Post
Located near the confluence of the Missouri and Yellowstone Rivers. This fort operated as a Fur trading hub of the Northern Plains, trading fur between Plains tribes and travelers for goods from around the world. It was in operation from 1828 to 1867.
This is one in a short series of geocaches south of Tioga. Quick grabs but named to highlight the history of Forts in North Dakota. Have tweezers to attempt these caches. Replace as found. If you ever have a problem with one of my caches, please reach out to me!
