This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. Marayong station was opened on 2nd October 1922 and had only one platform at that stage.
The name Marayong comes from the Aboriginal word "Marriang" meaning emu or place of cranes.
The line between Quakers Hill and Marayong was duplicated in 2002 and in 2003 the station was upgraded and facilities were improved.

To find this cache location you will need to answer the following questions. You will need to access the platform by tapping on with your Opal card. When you have finished you need to tap off again with your card and the charge will be reversed, so the cost is nothing.
A = How many people unveiled the plaque on the footbridge
B = How many hours on a weekday the little office is attended
C = The number of Opal card readers on the platform
D = The first number on the train signal pole at the southern end of platform 2
E = The first number on the bottom of the ticket machine

You will need to bring your own pen/pencil to sign the log so you can claim a find. Please return the container safely to its hiding place when you have finished.
