Wir haben Grund zu feiern! 

Geocaching feiert 2025 seinen 25. Geburtstag: Am 3. Mai 2000 wurde der erste Geocache versteckt, im September 2000 ging die Webseite online. Und es gibt noch mehr Grund zum Feiern: Unsere beliebte Eventserie “Bier, Burg und Brodwörscht” - besser bekannt als “BBB” - feiert ihre 100. Ausgabe und ihr 20-jähriges Bestehen. 

Bei diesem Nachevent in der Kulmbacher Kommunbräu lassen wir das Eventwochenende langsam ausklingen. Wir haben den Saal im 1. OG für uns. Je nach Bestuhlung sind 200-300 Teilnehmer möglich. Der Saal ist nicht barrierefrei - solltet ihr diesbezüglich Probleme haben, schreibt uns bitte eine Nachricht und wir werden versuchen, Räume im Erdgeschoss zusätzlich zu organisieren. 

Aus der Zeit vor der Erfindung der Kühltechnik stammt die Empfehlung, Weißwürste dürften das Mittagsläuten um 12 (11) Uhr nicht hören. Das ist heute völlig überholt. Nach einer anderen Erklärung wurden sie vormittags in den Gaststätten an Handwerker verkauft, die zum Mittagstisch Platz für zahlungskräftigere Kundschaft machen sollten. Heute werden Weißwürste den ganzen Tag über angeboten, von Bayern aber trotzdem in aller Regel zum zweiten Frühstück (Brotzeit) am Vormittag genüsslich verzehrt.

Bitte gebt in eurem "Werde Teilnehmen"-Log an, was ihr essen möchtet, oder ob ihr nur das Logbuch unterschreibt. Die Essensbestellungen müssen bis zum 14. Juni 2025 vorliegen.

1. Weißwurst mit süßem Senft und Breze 6,50€
2. Käsebrettla mit Brot 13,90€
Als vegane Alternative käme bei Bedarf evtl. ein Gemüsecurry in Betracht, falls euch das morgens schon schmeckt.

It’s party time!

In 2025, Geocaching is celebrating its 25th birthday: May 3rd, 2000, the first geocache was hidden, and in September 2000 the website went online. And there's even more reason to celebrate: Our popular event series "Bier, Burg und Brodwörscht" - well known as "BBB" - is celebrating its 100th edition and its 20th anniversary. 

At this after-event in the Kulmbacher Kommunbräu we will close the event weekend. We have the hall on the first floor to ourselves. Depending on the seating, 200-300 participants are possible. The hall is not wheelchair accessible - if you have any problems with this, please write us a message and we will try to organize additional rooms on the ground floor.

The recommendation that white sausages should not be allowed to hear the midday bell at 12 (11) o'clock dates back to the time before the invention of refrigeration technology. This is now completely outdated. According to another explanation, they were sold in restaurants in the morning to tradesmen who were supposed to make room for more affluent customers at lunch. Today, white sausages are available all day long, but Bavarians still generally enjoy them as a second breakfast in the morning.

Please state in your "Will attend" log what you would like to eat or whether you are just signing the logbook. Food orders have to be placed by June 14th.
