Geocache Description:

This is the second cache in the Chehalis Parks Series and is a repcement for the original cache of the same name. The number located in/on this cache represents the letter "B" in the final cache of the series. In order to find the final cache (GC7HWN3 - Henderson Park), you must collect the numbers from find five other caches. Hopefully this series takes you to parts of our wonderful little town you may not have been to before and also to learn a little bit about the history of Chehalis in the process.

This pretty, secluded park is located along a bend of the Chehalis River and is a favorite outdoor escape in the area.  Its two picnic areas are consistently rented throughout the summer for family events, class reunions, church picnics and other gatherings.  A playground will keep the little ones entertained.  Horseshoe pits are also available.

The restoration and renovation of Alexander Park was the first major project of the Chehalis Foundation.  A generous donation from W.F. West graduate, Jim Lintott was made in honor of his father, a former Chehalis school teacher.  This rejuvenation effort preceded the name change to Robert E. Lintott/Alexander Park.  Many other generous donors also came forward to restore the park, while others donated hundreds of hours of volunteer labor, services and equipment.
