Geocache Description:

PARK AT THE POSTED COORDINATES

The Shroom Hunt series will acquaint you with some of the most common mushrooms found in northern Minnesota. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to ID the mushroom to genus using the photos and text provided.

In many cases you might find the actual mushrooms along this trail. If you happen to find morels, please PM me.

This bright sulfur orange fungus is pretty unmistakable. It is a polypore fungus, with pores instead of gills. Sometimes these can be quite a find, occurring in great abundance on large logs. They say it tastes like chicken.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
