SPECIAL NOTE: BECAUSE OF THE LOCATION AND TRAFFIC, THIS CACHE SHOULD ONLY BE DONE WHEN HEADING WEST - TOWARDS DRYSDALE.
After 13 years, 197 Finds, 19 DNF's and 27 FP's, the original cache ( GC287D4 ) has disappeared. This replacement container is somewhat different. As well, there has been a very significant increase in the amount of traffic using the adjacent road. So it is opportune to move the location and place a new cache in a location that provides a slightly better parking opportunity, but still provides a spectular view from the GZ.
The original text has been adjusted to comply with current situation and Guidelines (some text also removed):
An amazing vista which on a clear day gives a view across Port Phillip Bay to the Mornington Peninsula and across The Heads southward into Bass Strait. You can appreciate the extent of Swan Bay and the coastal wetlands. There is a very poignant phrase on a nearby sign, across the road, expressing the concerns of a student from a nearby Primary School. Parking is best in the adjacent paddock entrance, but be careful as the road is very busy. Information in this cache will be useful if you are doing GC287D7.
This is a log only cache, so please bring your writing instrument.
