Geocache Description:

This geocache was placed for the 2024 OFTFFF event and is located along the Suncoast Trail which is a multi-use trail that is alongside of SR 589: Veterans Expressway / Suncoast Parkway Toll Road. DO NOT park on the Toll Road to look for this geocache. The Suncoast Trail State Road 50 Trailhead off of Grove Rd. is open 24 hours 7 days a week with paved parking.  It has bathrooms, tables/benches, a water fountain, air compressor and bike service area. There is a parking fee of $?? Currently the Pay Station has been removed. You can find a place to eat along State Road 50, going west of the trailhead. The Suncoast Trail is open for use during daylight hours 7 days a week.  You can walk, hike, bike, or run on the trail.  The trail is a paved trail which also makes it wheelchair and stroller accessible.  This is not a flat terrain trail, there are hills and road crossings to contend with.  Dogs are allowed as long as they are on a leash.  Currently there is little to no shade, El Baño’s or drinkable water available along this stretch of the trail. There are benches and trash containers along this part of the trail. Remember to bring your sunscreen (The Florida sun can be brutal), water, snacks and insect repellent.

We did not want to make this hard to find and included a hint to help you find it. The containers you can reach without going into the bush or across any fence.  The right of way for the paved trail is mowed.  You will need to leave the paved trail to get to the container along the edge of the right of way.  You will need tweezers and or a log roller to make it easier to remove, for signing. roll back up and replace the log in the container. Make sure you replace the top of the container correctly to keep the log sheet dry.
