A mais pequena do mundo

Reza a lenda, que esta capela foi mandada edificar em 1781, por alguém que escapou a um atentado neste local e que agradeceu esse facto às almas do Purgatório.

Esta pequena capela possui no seu interior, apenas um retábulo em talha pintada, que representa as Almas no Purgatório e reclama o título da capela mais pequena do Mundo.

Registado nos azulejos podemos ler – Alminhas – PNAM (Padre Nosso Avé Maria), que corresponde a uma súplica rogativa.

The smallest in the world

Legend has it that this chapel was built in 1781, by someone who escaped an attack in this place and who thanked the souls in Purgatory for this fact.

This small chapel has only a painted carved altarpiece inside, which represents the Souls in Purgatory and claims the title of the smallest chapel in the world.

Registered on the tiles we can read – Alminhas – PNAM (Our Father Hail Mary), which corresponds to a prayerful supplication (in portuguese).
