BATTERY PARK CITY
Battery Park City is a long sliver of land, bordered by West Street, to the east, and the Hudson River to the south, west and north. Built, in part, on reclaimed land from dredging the World Trade Center site, this modern neighborhood is known for its high-rise apartments and lush, river view parks.
Battery Park City is a 92-acre neighborhood located on the southwestern tip of Manhattan. The area was formerly a landfill and was developed in the 1970s as a mixed-use neighborhood with residential, commercial, and public spaces. The aim of Battery Park City was to create a modern, sustainable neighborhood, designed to accommodate a diverse mix of residents of all income levels. In 1980, the first residential building was completed, followed by the development of parks, retail spaces, and office buildings. Over the years, Battery Park City has become a popular destination for tourists and locals alike, with attractions like the Battery Park, the Esplanade, and the Museum of Jewish Heritage. Today, Battery Park City is one of the greenest and most desirable neighborhoods in Manhattan, boasting stunning waterfront views, state-of-the-art amenities, and a vibrant community.

These celebrities are just a few examples of the many famous people who have been a part of the fabric of this vibrant neighborhood.
