Geocache Description:

This cache series takes you to Aurora's largest park, "Phillip's Park" which spans over 325 acres. Each cache in this series is named for one of the animals that can be found inside the Phillip's Park Zoo. (The zoo has free admission, by the way!)

Phillip's Park features a waterfall, an 18-hole golf course, an aquatic center, a skate park, ice-skating rink, sledding hill, a large playground area, a splash-pad, several picnic areas, a "sunken garden" and a free-admission zoo that is home to several North American animals. In addition, a welcome center features fossils of pre-historic Mastodons. During the 1930's, Mastodon bones were found in the park during a lake excavation at the park. This lake is known as Mastodon Lake. There is a walking path that encircles the lake and a Mastodon playground area on the peninsula/island.
