2. LA CIMINIERA: industriale

Cenni storici raccontano che a Calizzano esistevano delle ferriere già dalla fine del 400. Nel massimi storici di produzione del ferro avvenuti tra il XVI e XVII secolo, esistevano ben 5 ferriere, probabilmente questa ciminiera apparteneva ad una di esse che ha continuato a lavorare anche durante il 1900. Ora, lo spazio è adibito a centro ricreativo polifunzionale, chiamato per l'appunto "La Ciminiera" e dedicato al maestro cavaliere Egidio Gazzano, mancato nel marzo 2021. Gazzano era un Maestro di filarmonica e insegnante di musica alle scuole medie sino alla pensione, nonché fondatore nel 1976 (e direttore) della Corale Alpina Montagne Verdi e membro della Corale Interparrocchiale Calizzano e Bardineto. Il cavaliere Gazzano si è sempre distinto per disponibilità, capacità, volontà e altruismo, impegnandosi negli anni nel volontariato e anche nella civica amministrazione del paese.

2. THE IRON MILL: industrial

Historical records tell that ironworks existed in Calizzano as early as the late 400s. In the historical maximums of iron production that occurred between the 16th and 17th centuries, there were as many as 5 ironworks, probably this chimney belonged to one of them that continued to work even during the 1900s. Now, the space is used as a multipurpose recreational center, called precisely "La Ciminiera" and dedicated to master Egidio Gazzano, who passed away in March 2021. Gazzano was a philharmonic maestro and middle school music teacher until his retirement, as well as founder in 1976 (and director) of the Montagne Verdi Alpine Chorale and a member of the Calizzano and Bardineto Interparish Chorale. Chevalier Gazzano has always distinguished himself for his helpfulness, ability, willingness and selflessness, engaging over the years in volunteer work and also in the civic administration of the town.

2. DIE EISENMÜHLE: industriell

Historische Aufzeichnungen belegen, dass es in Calizzano bereits Ende der 400er Jahre Eisenhütten gab. In der historischen Blütezeit der Eisenproduktion zwischen dem 16. und 17. Jahrhundert gab es bis zu 5 Eisenhütten, von denen dieser Schornstein wahrscheinlich zu einer gehörte, die auch um 1900 noch in Betrieb war. Heute wird der Platz als Mehrzweck-Freizeitzentrum genutzt, das den Namen "La Ciminiera" trägt und dem im März 2021 verstorbenen Meister Egidio Gazzano gewidmet ist. Gazzano war bis zu seiner Pensionierung philharmonischer Maestro und Musiklehrer an Mittelschulen, 1976 Gründer (und Leiter) des Alpenchors Montagne Verdi und Mitglied des Gemeindechors von Calizzano und Bardineto. Chevalier Gazzano zeichnete sich stets durch seine Hilfsbereitschaft, sein Können, seine Bereitschaft und seine Selbstlosigkeit aus und engagierte sich im Laufe der Jahre sowohl in der Freiwilligenarbeit als auch in der Stadtverwaltung.
