Hoyland Library opened in 2010, but has recently been refurbished.
A great fact about this library is that it is home to a model of the life-sized bronze statue of David ‘Dai’ Bradley as Billy Casper from the 1969 Ken Loach film ‘Kes’. It was brought "home" to Hoyland as it is where Barry Hines the author of ‘A Kestrel for a Knave’, which inspired the Kes film, was born and raised.

This camouflaged geo cache is accessible outside the building, so you can visit anytime day or night.
