Geocaching in the Breaks: Fern Hollow Trail Traditional Cache

This cache is located along the newly named Fern Hollow Trail. This is an easy trail to hike, sutible for folks of all ages. The trail is pretty wide and surrounded by huge trees that are a marvel to see as well as ground coverings of lush ferns. A beautiful walk to spend time in nature.  

This geocache is located approximately 30 feet from the trail in the base of a large tree. You will be searching for a small lock-n-lock style container that has small trade items. Please do not place any scented items in the container, our wide animals will be attracted to them.

Keep in mind that you are in the southern mountains, you will need to watch for snakes, bears, ticks, biting insects,poison plants.. you know, nature stuff!
