Geocache Description:

Trysull is a small village in the South-West of Staffordshire, only a mile from Wombourne and two from the edge of Wolverhampton, both to the East. The village itself lies in the shallow valley of the Smestow Brook, which follows the line of the Staffordshire and Worcestershire canal, eventually joining the Stour near Kinver.

The church of All Saints at Trysull is a largely 14th century sandstone building (with earlier origins) with a nave flanked by spacious aisles, lightened by a plaster finish within. The interior has an early 19th century feel thanks to much of the glass being of this date along with the rebuilding of the south aisle, but much of the woodwork is significantly earlier, particularly the chancel screen which appears to be late medieval. The most important features are the elements of 14th century glass incorporated into the east window, including heads in the traceries and small figures of Mary and St John (presumably from a Crucifixion group).

The Church is welcoming and when I have been in Trysull it has always been open and is well worth looking around.

To solve this puzzle you need to go to the notice board which should be at the listed co-ordinates. Ignoring any postings on either side, just concentrate on the information in the middle section of the board and answer the following questions;

1. What is the time of the first Sunday Holy communion? A = ?

2. Which Sunday in the month is All Age Worship? B = ?

3. Evensong starts at ....:30pm? C = ?

4. The number of times the letter W appears? D =

5. How many letters after Rev Richard Fisher's name? E =

6. Eighth number within the phone number? F =

Checksum = 31

The cache can be found at the co-ordinates:

N52 32.E(F-E)C

W002 13.BD(A-E+D)

This is a rural community, but as there is walking along (quiet) roads, take care with children and dogs.

Congratulations to BaldBenny on being first to find within two hours of listing!
