It is nearly 12 years since we first published our Millennium Meander 1 walk – time for a revamp so here is the MM1R walk (Millennium Meander 1 Revamped!).
The walk follows the 7 mile Heronfield Circular Walk 32 published by the local 41 Club

It is a loop based on the section of the Millennium Way between Knowle and Temple Balsall. The Millennium Way is a 100mile long footpath established to celebrate the start of the new Millennium.
There is an extra cache along Old Green Lane for those who might want to cut across the middle and make it into 2 shorter walks.
The walk can be started anywhere and done in either direction, the Heronfield Circular Walk starts at the Black Boy pub and if you follow this route, this will be your first cache. It is generally flat and on small roads or footpaths which can get extremely muddy - boots or wellies recommended!
