Hier brak op 5 november 1675 de waterwolf voor het laatst door de West Friese Omringdijk.

Het monument en de gedenksteen herinneren aan de ramp die toen West-Friesland trof.

Eerder lag op deze plek een geocache van Team Jowi, GC8BEFP, West-Friesland Drie eeuwen droog !!
