Idősebb Rubik Ernő (Pöstyén, 1910. november 27. – Budapest, 1997. február 13.) magyar gépészmérnök, pilóta, feltaláló, repülőmérnök, cserkésztiszt volt a legismertebb magyar repülőgép-tervező és aki a Rubik-kockát feltaláló Rubik Ernő édesapja, illetve Rubik Ernő Zoltán zeneszerző, jazz-zongorista nagyapja volt. 1963-ban kapott Kossuth-díjat.

Az esztergomi id. Rubik Ernő repülőtér füves repülőteret is róla nevezték el, amely Esztergom-Kertváros északi részén, a 111-es főút mellett található. Jelenleg ezt a repülőteret főleg sportcélokra használják az ország minden részéről érkeznek ide ejtőernyősök, vitorlázórepülők és ahol vitorlázórepülő-kiképzés is zajlik Góbé típusú repülőgépeken, valamint lehetőség nyílik utasrepülésre motoros és vitorlázó géppel. A korábbi években itt működött idősebb Rubik Ernő repülőgépgyára. Egyik leghíresebb repülőgépe az R-26 Góbé, amely hazánkban is rendkívül népszerű oktatóvitorlázó repülőgép mind amai napíg.

Ernő Rubik (27 November 1910 in Pöstyén, Austria-Hungary, now Piešťany, Slovakia – 13 February 1997) was a Hungarian aircraft designer and father of Ernő Rubik, the architect who became famous for his mechanical puzzles (e.g. the Rubik's Cube).

During the 1930s, he designed several gliders for manufacture by Műegyetemi Sportrepülő Egyesület, the sport flying association of the Budapest Technical University. In the years following the Second World War, these designs were followed by a number of powered aircraft, making Rubik the country's most prolific aircraft designer. These were manufactured by his own enterprise, Aero-Ever in Esztergom, until the firm was nationalised in 1948 as Sportárutermelő Vállalat. One of his most famous aircraft is the R-26 Góbé, a popular training glider in Hungary.
