Due Torri | Rovigo

Costruito nel X secolo come fortilizio e successivamente potenziato con torri e cinta muraria, il castello conserva oggi soltanto i resti delle mura quattrocentesche e delle due torri: Torre Grimani, detta "torre mozza" e Torre Donà, quest'ultima annoverata tra le più alte torri medievali d'ltalia.

Le torri sono inserite in quello che oggi è il giardino di Piazza Matteotti.

Nella piazza si erge il monumento dedicato al deputato polesano Giacomo Matteotti.

Built in the 10th century as a fortress and subsequently strengthened with towers and surrounding walls, the castle today only retains the remains of the 15th century walls and the two towers: Torre Grimani, known as the "cut off tower" and Torre Donà, the latter counted among the highest medieval towers of Italy.

The towers are inserted in what is now the garden of Piazza Matteotti.

In the square stands the monument dedicated to the Polesine deputy Giacomo Matteotti.
