L'Is-cia
Poco si sa di questo bosco, difficile è persino ritrovare l'origine del nome di questa zona, forse una storpiatura di vis-cia (plurale vis-ce): un termine dialettale per indicare le ramaglie, di cui questo luogo era ricco, che venivano utilizzate per la costruzione di scope, zaini rudimentali, ceste e, con le radici ed il tronco principale, bastoni da passeggio. Ad ogni modo questo piccolo sentiero ci permette di attraversare quello che oggi sembra essere un bosco magico, un bosco incantanto. Nonostante gli ingenti danni dovuti alla tempesta vaia ed all'invasione del bostrico, gli alberi rimasti portano alla mente le vecchie storie della "Foresta che Suona". Un racconto affascinante che mescola mito e realtà. Questa leggenda ha radici antiche e è parte integrante della cultura locale. Si narra che una volta, la Val di Fiemme fosse abitata da creature magiche e spiriti della natura. Gli alberi della foresta, in particolare, erano dotati di vita e di una melodia speciale. Secondo la leggenda, quando il vento soffia tra i rami degli alberi, questi producono un suono armonioso e incantevole, come se stessero cantando una canzone segreta. I ruscelli poi danno ritmo a questa melodia, usando l'acqua che scorre e che, sicura, batte sulla roccia. Gli abitanti della valle attribuivano questo fenomeno alla presenza di spiriti della foresta che risiedevano tra gli alberi. Si diceva che queste creature magiche custodissero la bellezza e la vitalità della foresta e che il loro canto fosse un segno di pace e prosperità per la comunità circostante. Oggi, la leggenda della "Foresta che Suona" vive nei racconti popolari della Val di Fiemme, ricordando agli abitanti l'importanza di rispettare e preservare la natura.

Despite the extensive damage caused by the windstorm and the bark beetle invasion, the remaining trees bring to mind the old stories of the 'Forest that Sounds'. A fascinating tale that mixes myth and reality. This legend has ancient roots and is an integral part of the local culture. It is said that Val di Fiemme was once inhabited by magical creatures and nature spirits. The trees in the forest, in particular, were endowed with life and a special melody. According to legend, when the wind blows through the branches of the trees, they produce a harmonious and enchanting sound, as if they were singing a secret song. The streams then give rhythm to this melody, using the flowing water that is sure to beat on the rock. The inhabitants of the valley attributed this phenomenon to the presence of forest spirits residing in the trees. It was said that these magical creatures guarded the beauty and vitality of the forest and that their singing was a sign of peace and prosperity for the surrounding community. Today, the legend of the 'Forest that Sounds' lives on in the folk tales of Val di Fiemme, reminding the inhabitants of the importance of respecting and preserving nature.
