Long version... This puzzle has a story - of course it does!
I was in Chișinău, taking in some of the caches on offer as I explored the city. Having found the Monument of Ștefan cel Mare virtual, my eye was caught by the impressive large white building down the street. There were no caches in that direction, but I decided that I needed to go and take a look and answer my question: what was it? It turned out to be the Presidential Palace of Moldova - a building completed in 1987, which predates Moldova's independence from the USSR, but since 1991 has been the residence of the president of Moldova. It has a short but interesting history in the recent decades of the Republic.
Later on the same day, at an Event, I met one of the most prevalent cachers in Chișinău, who has single-handedly transformed the Geocaching map in the city. In that moment, I decided to place a cache here, that will hopefully it will offer visitors another interesting place to visit (I rely on Geocaching as a tour guide) and locals with a cache to find!
It is very deliberately placed in a place between two great bastions of Moldovan power: the Ștefan cel Mare statue and presidential palace. But as most right thinking people know - true leadership is not always represented by those in power. My version of great leadership involves vision, seeing possibilities, enablement, and making things happen. Geocaching in Moldova is being driven by these things, and so here is my contribution.
