Geocache Description:

While in the area searching for GCANR19 which is located near the other starting point of this trail, we decided to place a hide of our own.  It's wonderful to have a real-life MacGyver for a husband because luckily, EastCoastRoach had a few materials on hand in his truck to put this hide together.

The Long Pond Walking Trail is located in the beautiful Town of Bay Bulls along the Southern Shore Highway (Route 10).  This family friendly community trail is a combination of compacted granular and boardwalk with a focus on accessibility.  Some features of this trail include nesting birds, beaver dams, flowing streams and woodlands.  Currently, Phase 1 of the trail is a 2.5 km stretch that goes part way around the pond but the Town has approval for Phase II, which will see the trail extended around the full perimeter of the pond.

This cache is a pill bottle wrapped in black tape located not far from the parking area.
