常磐線日暮里～三河島間は半径350ｍほどの半円形をえがきます。
都心の鉄道はほとんどが高架化されていて踏切はかなり姿を消してしまいました。そんな中、金杉踏切はそうした数少ない都心の踏切の一つです。
ここは電車の往来は激しく、所謂「開かずの踏切」です。千葉方面へとつながる2路線がここで並走することを考えてもその通過頻度の多さは容易に想像できますよね。複雑に絡み合った道路と高架橋、緑のラインが入った常磐線と新幹線みたいな車両が近未来的な京成本線が立ち代わり踏切に進入していく様は鉄道ファンでなくても心躍るのではないでしょうか。
キャッシュはそんな金杉踏切の周辺に設置しました。

The area between Nippori and Mikawashima on the Joban Line forms a semicircle with a radius of about 350 meters.
Most of the railroads in the center of Tokyo have been elevated, and level crossings have disappeared. The Kanasugi crossing is one of the few such crossings in the city center.
The train traffic here is heavy, and it is what is called an "unopened crossing. It is easy to imagine the frequency of train traffic at this crossing, considering that two train lines running parallel to each other in the direction of Chiba. Even if you are not a railroad fan, you may be excited to see the intricately intertwined roads and viaducts, the Joban Line with its green line, and the futuristic-looking Keisei Main Line with its Shinkansen-like cars entering the crossing one after the other.
The cache is located near the Kanasugi crossing.
