Geocache Description:

Just a short walk across Greyfriars Bridge, Coleham is a haven of independent businesses, but have you every spotted this quiet, chapel like building which is situated between our cache location and Greyfriars Bridge? This is Coleham Pumping Station, and houses two massive steam-driven bean engines which were built between 1897–1898; and the beautiful brick building, was constructed in 1900 to house them. The pumping station was opened by the mayoress of Shrewsbury in 1901, and is now run by a dedicated team of skilled volunteers. Have a look on the board outside the station for current opening times!
