Welcome to Futuristic - Horror/Sci-Fi Vol.8 - Death Race 2000!
In this Post-Apocalyptic Thriller from legendary producer and film-maker Roger Corman, governments and infrastructure have suffered great economic and social ruin after the "World Crash of 1979".
Prisons are all privately-owned and, to pacify an angry and hopeless population, the government introduces a homicidal transcontinental Road Race using inmates as contestants.
It is now the year 2000 edition and an ambitious former mobster-turned racer by the name of Machine-Gun Joe Viterbo (Sylvester Stallone in an early role) is determined to win this year's contest by defeating the current Champion known only as Frankenstein (David Carradine).
The two will square off against each other as well as notorious racers Calamity Jane, Matilda the Hun, and Nero the Hero, in a points-based race to the finish. Pedestrians are worth bonus points; babies are worth even more. As well as creating carnage in their wake the drivers must also be on the lookout for it in their path. Anything and everything can potentially spell disaster from land mines hidden in strollers to false detours over a cliff -they can never be too certain of their targets!
NO SPOILERS: We have said too much already. If you can find this movie you are in for a cheesy good time.
