Another cache in the dunes for those of you who enjoy a short walk along the beach. It is about 3/4 mile round-trip if using the Wpt 1 route through the dunes to the cache. Alternately, you could follow the beach to Wpt 2 then turn into the sand dunes.
Using the hint will decrease the difficulty rating substantially.
**Please do not screw the top back on too tight; it could strip the threads.**
Each geocache in this series is placed along the trails through the sand dunes in Ocean Shores. Things to keep in mind while searching for these caches:
(1) Avoid extremely dry or extremely wet sand when driving / parking on the beach. The middle of an ebbing tide would be the best time.
(2) This is home to coyotes and deer. Do not approach either animal.
(3) Mosquitoes seem omnipresent throughout the dunes. Best times to reduce your exposure are windy days or winter. Further reduce your chances of being bit by using repellant and spending as little time as possible standing still in the brush.
(4) If you have allergies, note that scotchbroom is prolific here during spring and summer and will likely be encountered enroute to most of the caches.
