Hart-Miller Island
Hart-Miller Island is a geographical wonder. Located off the city of Essex, this man-made island officially opened to the public in 2016. It is only accessible by boat.

Currently located on this island are four geocaches. These includes two EarthCaches, which are Beached on Hart-Miller Island (GC9DRFE) and Dredge or Die: The Story of Hart-Miller Island (GC9D1BZ). Transportation logistics to the island are described on the pages for either of these two caches.
The other two caches are both traditionals. These include Hart-Miller Island (GC47G9W) and The Waterfall (GCAEN09).
The objective of this Event is to visit the island and learn about its geography, environment, and history, as well as to take a geocaching group photo. Attendees should bring whatever water, food/lunch, and snacks needed. And don't forget to apply sunscreen and bug repellent.
Currently, there is an organized boat going over and (at the time of writing) there is still some space left for additional passengers. Please send a personal message to the CO if you are interested in joining us on the boat, and to see if space is still available. Of course this boat trip and event will be weather dependent, and any updates/details will try to be made through announcements on the cache page.
A huge thanks to RDip, and subsequently emilyjen, QUE3NBE3 and _bw_ for providing inspiration from their own previous "Hart-Miller Island" events (as well as much of the text used) - imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, thanks!
