Hier befinden wir uns an der Rettungswache am Rennsteig. Diese ist der Heimat der Rettungskräfte in Neuhaus am Rennweg. Von hier aus starten die Krankenwagen zu den Einsätzen in Neuhaus und im Umland, oder zum Transport kritischer Patienten und schwerer Fälle in das Krankenhaus in Sonneberg. Die Wache selbst wird, genau wie das Krankenhaus bis zu seiner Schließung, von den RegioMed Kliniken betrieben.
Bis vor einigen Jahren war die alte Rettungswache unterhalb des Neuhäuser Krankenhauses angesiedelt und bestand im wesentlichen aus zwei Garagen, während die Kräfte ihre Büros und Räumlichkeiten im Krankenhaus selbst hatten. Im Notfall mussten die Helfer dann die Treppen hinunter rennen um zu den Einsatzfahrzeugen zu gelangen.
Die Grundsteinlegung für die neue Rettungswache fand mit dem symbolischen ersten Spatenstich am 13. Juni 2018 statt. Nach etwas mehr als zwei Jahren Bauzeit wurde die neue Wache dann am 1. Oktober 2020 in Betrieb genommen. Das neue Gebäude sieht nicht nur deutlich schicker aus als die alten Garagen, sondern bietet auch zeitgemäße, ideale Arbeits- und Ausbildungsbedingungen. Die 500qm große Wache bietet Raum für die 20 Mitarbeiter und 4 Auszubildenden des Rettungsdienstes. Die ebenerdige Anlage macht den "Treppenspurt" zu den Fahrzeugen überflüssig.
Dieser Geocache ist ein großes Dankeschön an alle Menschen die im Rettungsdienst arbeiten und durch ihren täglichen Einsatz helfen Leben zu retten und anderen Menschen zu helfen. Vielen, vielen Dank, und weiter so!

Here we are at the Rennsteig rescue station. This is the home of the emergency services in Neuhaus am Rennweg. From here, the ambulances set off on missions in Neuhaus and the surrounding area, or to transport critical patients and serious cases to the hospital in Sonneberg. Like the hospital, the station itself is operated by RegioMed Kliniken until it closes.
Until a few years ago, the old rescue station was located below Neuhäuser Hospital and essentially consisted of two garages, while the emergency services had their offices and premises in the hospital itself. The foundation stone for the new rescue station was laid with the symbolic ground-breaking ceremony on June 13, 2018. After just over two years of construction, the new station was put into operation on October 1, 2020. The new building not only looks much nicer than the old garages, but also offers modern, ideal working and training conditions. The 500 square meter station offers space for the 20 employees and 4 trainees of the rescue service. The ground-level facility eliminates the need to run down the stairs to reach the vehicles.

Jsme na záchranné stanici Rennsteig. Toto je domov záchranné služby v Neuhausu am Rennweg. Odtud vyjíždějí sanitky na mise do Neuhausu a okolí nebo přepravují kritické pacienty a závažné případy do nemocnice v Sonnebergu. Stejně jako nemocnici je i samotná stanice provozována RegioMed Kliniken až do svého uzavření.
Ještě před několika lety se stará záchranná stanice nacházela pod nemocnicí Neuhäuser a v podstatě se skládala ze dvou garáží, zatímco záchranné složky měly své kanceláře a prostory přímo v nemocnici. V případě nouze museli záchranáři seběhnout po schodech dolů, aby se dostali k vozidlům záchranné služby.
Základní kámen nové záchranné stanice byl položen symbolickým slavnostním zahájením 13. června 2018. Po něco málo přes dvou letech výstavby byla nová stanice uvedena do provozu 1. října 2020. Nová budova nejenže vypadá mnohem hezčeji než staré garáže, ale také nabízí moderní, ideální pracovní a výcvikové podmínky. Stanice o rozloze 500 metrů čtverečních nabízí prostor pro 20 zaměstnanců a 4 stážisty záchranné služby. Zařízení v přízemí eliminuje nutnost běhat po schodech k vozidlům.
Tato geocache je velkým poděkováním všem lidem, kteří pracují v záchranných složkách a svým každodenním úsilím pomáhají zachraňovat životy a pomáhat ostatním lidem. Moc, moc děkuji a jen tak dál!
