I discovered this very historic old tree on the way to do maintenance on one of my caches.  When we stopped for a better look on the way back I was pleased to see it was something special. 

This broad arrow was used to denote goverment property. It was used to mark explorers routes and on survey markers.  It is also well known for its use on convict clothing.
