Ossie is our nickname for the local osprey which often uses this lightpole as a lookout. Look out for it, and if you're lucky you might even see it flying past with dinner in its claws. And if you don't see Ossie, well just admire the river and its scenic views.
The cache is a magnetic strip at hip height attached to the lightpole adjacent to the shared pathway. There is plenty of room to keep both yourself and your geobike/scooter well off the pathway while you retrieve this cache.
This cache can only be accessed from the pathway. If you are driving, the closest freeway pedestrian overpass is from Olives Reserve. The train/bus station is about 10 min walk away via the pathway.
There are public toilets, picnic tables, and a dinking water tap at Como Jetty 550m north along the path. And there are several nearby caches along this same pathway.
Congratulations to CMbob1234 for FTF!
