Der Betreiber des Krankenhauses waren die RegioMed Kliniken. Auf deren Internetpräsenz ließ sich folgendes zum Neuhäuser Krankenhaus finden: "Das REGIOMED-Klinikum Neuhaus am Rennweg ist die höchstgelegene Akutklinik Deutschlands. Sie liegt am Rande der Stadt in einem Gebiet, das sich „Schöne Aussicht“ nennt. Doch nicht nur landschaftlich kann das Klinikum punkten, auch die hervorragende Behandlung gepaart mit Kompetenz und Herzlichkeit zeichnen dieses Krankenhaus aus."
Damit leistete das Krankenhaus einen enorm wichtigen Beitrag zur Akutversorgung der Patienten in Neuhaus und Umgebung, da die nächstgelegene Klinik in jeder Himmelsrichtung mindestens 20km weit entfernt ist. Ende 2024 wurde das Krankenhaus jedoch wegen Unwirtschaftlichkeit geschlossen, und so müssen Notfälle nun in Sonneberg oder Saalfeld versorgt werden.
Doch die Straße heißt nicht nur "Schöne Aussicht", sondern es gibt hier auch eine ganze Reihe von Orten, von welchen aus man wirklich eine schöne Aussicht hat. Auch der Wald ist gleich in der Nähe, und so lässt sich von hier gut zu Geocaching-Abenteuern in die Umgebung von Neuhaus starten.
Hin und wieder kommt es dabei vor, dass sich große und kleine Geocacher überschätzen und im Anschluss ärztliche Hilfe in Anspruch nehmen müssen. So erging es auch unserer kleinen Geocacherin im Bild. Sie hat ihrer Ärztin gerade erzählt wo sie nach dem nächsten Cache gesucht hat, als sie einen kleinen Unfall hatte. Vielleicht seid Ihr ja so nett und schreibt sie mit ins Logbuch wenn Ihr den Cache findet?

The hospital thus made a hugely important contribution to the acute care of patients in Neuhaus and the surrounding area, as the nearest clinic is at least 20 km away in any direction. Every now and then, geocachers of all ages overestimate themselves and subsequently need medical attention. This is what happened to our little geocacher pictured here.
