Welcome to the 2024 Taconic Region NYS Park Summer Geocaching Challenge.  Please see RSPP 1 for details about the challenge.

About this series: Can you name the Hudson River Bridges? The Newburgh–Beacon Bridge is an articulated deck truss type bridge that carries that carries I-84 and NY 52 over the Hudson from Newburgh on the west to Beacon on the east.  The original (northern) span was opened in 1963 at a cost of $19.5 million and is 7855 feet long. The second (southern) span was opened in 1980 at a cost of $93.6 million and is 7789 feet long. The bridge’s ceremonial name is the Hamilton Fish Newburgh-Beacon Bridge. (Source:  NYSBA.ny.gov)
