While driving past my childhood residence, I noticed that this space had FINALLY been reclaimed and renovated. I had to stop and see if there was a good place for a cache. I guess you figured out that I found a good spot for one here.
As I said, I grew up VERY close to this park. When I was a kid, this was the famous Hankey Farms Pool.

All of my friends had season passes, but my parents never let us get them. We only went there 2 or three times all summer, unless I was invited to a pool party. When I was little, I thought the whale in the kiddie pool was awesome. As I got older, I enjoyed playing corner tag in the deep end and loved raft hour where we could put our inner tubes and rafts into the water and float around. We played ping pong in the pavillion and enjoyed running in the yards. I will say that I remember the water always being VERY cold, but to kids in summer, we were always ready to jump in for a quick dip.
After I moved away, the pool was closed and eventually removed. The space sat empty for years and I always thought that it was just a waste.

I found out that the township was looking into ways to improve the area. I was hopeful, but not really expecting much. Today, I was so excited to see a finished playground with parking area and walking path. The pavillion has been completely restored. The park was filled with kids playing and families enjoying the space. I knew that I had to put a cache here. Wait until you see it now!
This is a container that I made as a potential replacement for a cache that turned up actually still there. So now I had one of these things and never had the heart to place it. This should be a great place for you to search for the cache while the kids enjoy the playground. Not extremely evil, but not necessarily a P&G either. Enjoy this new park!
