Buckland war memorial consists of a three-stepped octagonal base
surmounted by a cylindrical sectioned column with mouldings at top & bottom.
Continuing upwards from the column, is a carved finial stone in the form of a flaming grenade.
As you face the memorial you will find a stone plaque on the wall behind you
The memorial was restored in 19AB
In memory of Richard Wellesley 19CD - 19EF
At waypoint one you will find a tree with brass plaque in the ground
It commemorates a centenery from 18GH to 19GH
