Geocache Description:

This is one of three geocaches placed along, or adjacent to, the North West Bay River Trail (NWBRT), which opened in late 2023.
The trail runs between the Huon Highway/Sandfly Road junction and Riverdale Road - approximately 3.1km one way.

To attempt all 3 caches together it's best to access the trail via the Sandfly Reserve Nature Trail, from the Sandfly Oval, and so those parking coordinates are provided accordingly. Other access points are shown on the attached map.

Sorry, no dogs are allowed.  Horses and bicycles are permitted on the North West Bay River Trail itself, but not on the Sandfly Reserve Nature Trail.

Please be aware that this trail is NOT suitable for use after heavy rain and please follow shared used trail etiquette and enjoy.

There are two River Crossings on the NWBRT - you will need to use at least one of them to access this cache.
Note: Crossings are subject to flooding. Rocks can be slippery. River level may rise at any time making crossing difficult. Crossing is not recommended if all rocks are covered by water.

As always, take care in the bush. I didn't see any snakes, but I know of sightings, so be alert, especially on warm days - it is their environment after all.
