FLAGSTAFF's ORIGINAL FLAGSTAFF

Simple field puzzle about the history of Flagstaff

WELCOME TO FLAGSTAFF!

A group of settlers originating from Boston arrived in what is now known as Flagstaff, Arizona, in 1876. To celebrate the U.S. Centennial, they constructed a flagpole made from one of the tallest pine trees around. In 1985 a replica of the original flagstaff was constructed in the general area of where the original settlers camped.
