This cache is #7 of the Cheasty 528 Series, a series of traditionals at least 528 feet apart. There are a couple parking spots right near where Hinds/Della crosses Cheasty.
Designed in 1903, Cheasty Boulevard S is a beautiful road meandering through the woods. Originally designed by the Olmsted brothers and named after former Parks Commission President Edward C. Cheasty, the right of way runs from Beacon Ave all the way to Lake Washington, although busy Rainier Avenue now separates the Cheasty side from its continuation (Mt Baker Blvd) that runs to the lake. There is a lovely gravel trail that runs next to Cheasty, occasionally with trees separating trail from road. New mountain biking trails are open in the southern part of the boulevard, just east of Beacon, and more are to come soon off the eastern edge further to the north. Walking is better than driving for the whole series.
Congratulations to sahan for finding this cache in its original location before it was even published! We had to change where it is because of distance but wanted to mention the pre-FTF.
If you know for sure how to pronounce Cheasty (we don't), let us know in your log.
