Geocache Description:

The Second World War Cromwell tank, known as Little Audrey, stands beside the A1065 near Mundford, at the entrance to Thetford Forest.

It commemorates the men of the 7th Armoured Division (Desert Rats), who were stationed in Thetford Forest between January and May 1944, while they trained for the invasion of Normandy.

Little Audrey is a memorial to troops who took part in the Normandy landings and the fight to free Europe. At the time of setting this cache Little Audrey is being refurbished in time for the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

The landowner (Forestry Commission East England) does not assess the suitability or safety of the cache location. The cache placer and the cache finder have a responsibility to take reasonable precautions to protect their own safety and the safety of others. Hazards observed at or on route to the cache location should be reported to the cache placer.
