Cascata do Lombinho/ Lombinho Watterfall
A Cascata do Lombinho situa-se no sítio do Lombinho, na Ribeira da Janela. Esta cascata apresenta-se com uma engraçada particularidade, principalmente devido à formação geomorfológica. Devido ao “alpendre” natural de basalto sobre a estrada, a água cai já fora desta, rumando à ribeira da Ribeira da Janela. O caudal da cascata é bastante varável, conforme a precipitação.
The Lombinho Waterfall is located on the Lombinho site, in Ribeira da Janela. This waterfall has a funny peculiarity, mainly due to the geomorphological formation. Due to the natural basalt “porch” over the road, the water falls outside the road, heading towards the Ribeira da Janela stream. The flow of the waterfall is quite variable, depending on the precipitation.

Esta cache surge com o objetivo de georreferenciar esta beleza natural do Porto Moniz, mais uma. Aproveite a cache e vá até ao fim da estrada. Apesar da sua sinuosidade, vale apena, pois poderá contemplar o vale da Ribeira da Janela e sua ribeira, tal como, a beleza envolvente e ainda alguns poios bem cultivados das gentes da terra.
Pedimos especial atenção, e até desaconselhamos totalmente a visita esta cache em dias de chuva moderada/forte e de muito vento, pois o risco de derrocada é relativamente alto e a queda de pedras é quase diária, embora estas sejam de pequenas dimensões, são suficientes para causar males maiores, aos quais dispensamos estar associados. Neste sentido, tenha precaução
A cache está num local, que dificilmente, após a sua procura continuará seco, por isso, um casaco impermeável não é descabido. Consulte a imagem spoiler, pois a vegetação e a queda de água poderão dificultar a busca. Por fim, deixe tudo como encontrou, ou melhor.
This cache appears with the aim of georeferencing this natural beauty of Porto Moniz, yet another. Take advantage of the cache and go to the end of the road. Despite its winding nature, it is worth it, as you will be able to contemplate the Ribeira da Janela valley and its river, as well as the surrounding beauty and even some well-cultivated fields belonging to the local people.
We ask for special attention, and we even completely advise against visiting this cache on days of moderate/heavy rain and a lot of wind, as the risk of landslides is relatively high and stones fall almost daily, although they are small, they are sufficient to cause greater evils, with which we do not need to be associated. In this sense, be careful
The cache is in a place that is unlikely to remain dry after searching, so a waterproof jacket is not out of place. See the spoiler image, as the vegetation and waterfalls may make the search difficult. Finally, leave everything as you found it, or better.
