Welcome to the Seven Woods Walk adventure series. Did you know that there are 7 woods between Thundersley and Leigh? This loop goes through Hadleigh Great Wood, West Wood, Valerie Wells Wood, Starvelarks Wood, Tile Wood (now spilt into Wyburns Wood and Tile Wood), Pound Wood and Belfairs Park Wood, as well as Little Haven Nature Reserve.
The full loop is about 13km long and will take about 3 hours, but you can also do it in sections. We have divided the loop into 6 sections, with an Adventure Lab and bonus cache for each section, placed so that you can find them if you walk the loop clockwise. The stages are numbered to help with this but can be done in any order. There is also a History Mystery cache that you can solve at home and then find along the way, as well as some traditionals between the woods. See the gallery for a detailed route map. Be warned - the paths through these woods can be very muddy!
This is the second of 4 traditional caches that have been placed to provide a link between parts 1 and 2 of the Seven Woods Walk Adventure series - Hadleigh Great Wood and West Wood. There is parking on the street nearby, if you are finding it separately from the Adventure Labs.
The cache is a disguised urban cache.
