There has been much discussion about whether or not a car was stolen by the three escapees. It is one of only two really plausible explanations...assuming they even survived!
However, new evidence was finally uncovered by one of our most dilligent detectives, obilon of the Outlaw Cachers. Remains of a late model car were found in the location where apparently the cons drove it off the road into the trees and abandoned it, perhaps moving on to another vehicle. At this location you can see what remains of the body. Other pieces are strewn along this roadway.
Don't cut yourself if you decide to examine it. Obi came away bleeding, but thankfully all good agents stay current on their vaccinations!
