This cache was placed as part of the Moffat to Leadhills (M2L) series for the Caledonian Cachefest
YOU CANNOT STOP NEAR HERE!
Looking north from this cache you will not see a building that looks like a house. If you can, you are imagining things as it is not there! It does not appear on any maps, has no name and you will not see anyone go in or out of it. Obviously this is because it is not there.
The high security gates on/off the motorway opposite the cache are only here by pure coincidence. As far as you are concerned, they are normal gates and all gates for emergancy vehicle access onto a motorway are electronically controlled, have a call button and CCTV covering them 24/7.
If driving south you will have passed an entrance that does not lead to the house that is not there. You will not have noticed the high security gates, that the access is over a single track, fenced bridge above deep ravine, or that there is CCTV watching you as you pass. If you are travelling north; do not look to your left as you continue your journey until you get to the railway bridge over the road.
Rumours of a large underground network of rooms and passageways under the house are not true, because there is nothing here. It is also untrue that the last person known to try and get to the house (that does not exist) was immediately aprihended by armed soldiers. This is because they were not as there is nothing to see here.
Some people say that this place is a secret government nuclear bunker. They are wrong. It is not as there is nothing here. Others say it is a safe house for the Royal Family. Again they are wrong as there is nothing here.
We repeat - Do not stop near here. There is nothing to see. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
