This cache has been placed as part of the Moffat to Leadhills (M2L) series for the Caledonian Cachefest. 

The cache is hidden from the road as it is in a large round hole. There does not seem to be any reason for the hole to be here. There is nothing on PastMap, Clanmore or any other databases.
