In the second of my series "I See the Mailbox" my family history of this area continues to be explored. My grandparents owned a sweet little log cabin on M22 where Trails End heads down to Deer, Bass and Otter Lakes. Attached to their log cabin was an antique store. My adorable grandma was the happy hostess to travelers coming and going on M22. I helped when I was up here selling polished petoskeys and all kinds of collectors items. SOBOTA's GIFTS. Eventually, the property was bought out to make way for what is now the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. It's been gone since the 70's but Blanche and Ed's spirits remain!
Enjoy the woods. You can park safely in the parking lot and walk to GZ.
You may need a TOTT to retrieve.
The terrain is uneven, many twigs- proceed with caution. This is a P&G with a pop of nature.
The woods come with its share of bugs- including ticks so bring bug spray and a pen!
Replace and hide from muggles.
Like my other hide, this has nothing to do with a mailbox :)
