Come join us May 11, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. for an event focusing on electronics recycling and building Geocaching memories. At this meet and greet we will gather to talk about and plan future Geocaching adventures, discover and trade trackables, and discuss any other Geocaching and non-Geocaching topics; basically whatever tickles our fancies. This event will last one hour and we will also be recycling electronics.
Have an old laptop computer, video game console, flat screen TV, tablet, radio, cell phone, desktop computer or other portable electronic device that you no longer want? Concerned your identity or other sensitive material could get into the wrong hands? This is the event for YOU!!!
We will be teaming up with a local, licensed, professional electronics recycler who knows how to safely dispose of our electronics that we no longer want. This event is for personal use electronics you have cluttering up your home, but if you are a business owner, office manager, or someone else looking to dispose of electronics in bulk, you can stop by to set up an appointment with the recycler, and he will pick them up directly from your business. He will remove and safely dispose of all materials and destroy the hard drive in our presence at the event so you can rest assured that your information remains with you. Things he is unable to dispose of are: old, large box TVs or computer monitors with tubes.
The event will be held in the parking lot at the posted coordinates near 464 SW Port St Lucie Blvd, Port St Lucie, FL. Feel free to stick around afterwards for lunch or refreshments at the nearby restaurant and brewery. Recycling electronics is much safer for you, and far better for the environment, as harmful materials stay out of environment as a whole including: our landfills, our forests, and our waterways, thus protecting humans, animals, and plant life alike. And who doesn’t enjoy our environment and nature more than Geocachers?
This event is hosted by: SparkPlug205, coleclan and GC Parrotheads. Hope to see you there securing your information, helping the environment and making Geocaching memories!
