About the station
Dispite the name, the station is not actually in the area historically known as North Greenwich The station is actually closer to Charlton than to Greenwich, it is however, at the northern most tip of the Royal Borough of Greenwich which gives the best explanation of the name
North Greenwich is one of the largest stations on the Jubilee line, capible of handling approximately 20,000 passengers per hour, having been designed to cope with the large number of visitors to the Millennium Dome (now the O2 Arena)
