The first part of the Oak Trail Circuit is an EASEMENT that runs behind a bunch of new houses. It may feel a bit awkward being so close to people's back yards but the trail is fairly well laid out. So keep your eyes on the yellow blazes (arrow markers) the Conservation Commission has put on the trees so you know where the trail is at all times.
For those unfamiliar with trail hiking, when you are at a yellow blaze on a tree, you should be able to see the yellow blaze on the next tree. This way you will always be able to confidently move forward on the trail with a blaze always in sight. Even in best case scenarios though sometimes you can't see the next blaze so do your best to stay on the trail until the next blaze appears.
The trail runs directly behind houses, but no need to worry this trail is a town easement for hikers. There is some poison ivy growing on some of the trees along this part of the trail. There is plenty of room on the trail to avoid coming close to the trees.
The cache is a tall square container with a lock n lock lid. It is painted army green. There is some spring bling to help narrow your search.
