Geocache Description:

This geocache commemorates the 30th anniversary of the dedication and opening of the North Bend Library's current location. Situated amidst the picturesque Pacific Northwest landscape, the library stands as a shining example of Mid-Century Modern Architecture, seamlessly blending elements of this iconic style with the region's unique characteristics.

With its meticulously crafted spaces and unwavering commitment to meeting the needs of the community, the North Bend Library has become a beloved cornerstone of the Snoqualmie Valley region. Designed by Bassetti architects, the library stands as a testament to PNW mid-century modern architectural design. Solve for ABC.D

A) From Ground Zero, look up at the eaves of the building to find drain spouts adorned with eagle, bunny, or salmon sculptures around the entire building. Count the number of eagles. Then, head inside the library and locate the main meeting room. Look up and count the number of pyramidal chandeliers. Now, subtract the number of eagles from the number of pyramids to get your answer:

A = (Number of Pyramids) - (Number of Eagles)

B= Find the dedication sign that commemorates when the building was officially opened. Carefully read the text and count all sets of double letters (like tt, ee, or ss). Then, look for the day of the month the building was dedicated. To solve for B, subtract the number of double-letter sets from the dedication day:

B = (Dedication Day) - (Number of Double Letters)

C= Locate the sign that identifies the library and its founding—this sign includes a single number, likely a year. To solve for C, take that number and add together the first and last digits.

C = (First digit) + (Last digit)

D=Head to the magazine section of the library and count the number of windows along its walls. Then, make your way to the Teen Section and count the windows there. Now, subtract the number of Teen Section windows from the number of Magazine Section windows to find:

D = (Magazine Windows) - (Teen Section Windows)

When you solve for ABC.D it is time to apply the Dewey Decimal System in your search for the next stage of this mystery!
