The Geokids are members of the 1st Goytre Scout Group and back in 2023 the group hid some containers as part of a Geocaching badge award. Unfortunately the cache was never published - shortly after the container was placed it was muggled - the box was damaged and its contents thrown away. Our first attempt to replace and resight have met a similar fate, so this will be the 3rd iteration and (famous last words) will hopefully be less noticeable than its predecessor!
Set at the start of a woodland walk, which can be muddy in parts, the Geokids refer to the tree as "the climbing tree". The woods are popular with dog walkers, so stealth may be required. Unfortunately, the cache is no longer a tree climb, but remains very close to the "climbing tree". If visiting, it's still a nice tree to climb, with lots of stout branches. If you do decide to climb, neither I nor Groundspeak can be responsible for your actions. Please only attempt the climb if you feel confident to do so. Please bring your own pen.
