Background
Welcome to my series of odd and miscellaneous challenges.
Team Olio always welcomes and listens to people's feedback. We hope this challenge fits a certain demographic of cachers out there. Of course all cachers are welcome to complete the challenge. This challenge can be completed from anywhere in the world.
Unlike some of our other Olio challenges, travel is not required for this challenge, hence the challenge's name and theme.
The inspiration for this challenge came from Siedlermarx's Challenge - 365 Tage im Kreis gedreht cache (GC954GD) in Germany. Thank you Siedlermarx.
The Challenge
To qualify for this challenge, you must have found a cache on all 365 days of the year within the same district, municipality, county, or local equivalent.
The Requirements
Some more things about the challenge to be aware of:
- Locationless caches, adventure lab caches, and benchmarks can not be used for this challenge.
- Only the day and month matter for this challenge; the year is irrelevant.
- This is not a streak challenge in any way. The finds do not have to be sequential in any way. In other words, there is no requirement for this challenge to be completed in one year. This challenge can be completed over any number of years.
- Leap Day aka February 29th is not required for this challenge. It's considered a nice to have and is not a part of the mandatory 365 days of the year.
- In the past, it was also possible to log the same cache multiple times. Those caches can only be used once for this challenge, only on the first day it was found.
- In the past, it was possible to log your own caches. These caches are not allowed for this challenge.
- Past finds count. Any caches that you have found and have been archived or disabled after you have found them can be used for this challenge if it meets the criteria.
The fine print
CO reserves the right to make any changes to this challenge if any issues or ambiguities are discovered. CO will be fair but has the final say on any events, caches, finds, or logs that are questionable. CO reserves the right to delete any logs if problems are found.
Finding This Cache
Do NOT access this cache from Highway 2. Please use the nearby service road instead.
Please be aware the shoulder space along the service road near GZ is very limited. For this cache, we recommend parking at the approach to the south of GZ and walking from there. PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN CROSSING THE ROAD. Coordinates for the parking location are listed in the waypoint below.
Please remember to be respectful of the cache location. Be aware of how and where the cache is "attached" so that it can be put back in exactly the same way and in the same place for the next person(s) to enjoy.
Logging This Cache
As with any challenge caches, you are welcome to physically sign the log for this cache and log it as "Write Note" if you haven't met the challenge's requirements yet. Please bring your own pen(cil)/writing instrument to sign the log.
Please use this Project-GC challenge checker below to verify if you have qualified for this challenge.
You can only log a "Found It" entry online after you've completed the challenge and signed the log. All non-qualifying "Found It" logs will be deleted without notice.
Similar Challenge Caches?
Whether you qualify for this challenge or not, you may also qualify for similar challenges as well.
If you know of any other caches similar to this challenge or if you want to replicate this challenge in your area, please let me know and I will add those caches here so that other cachers can be aware.
